New and improved is an overused advertising ploy most often used to sell breakfast cereal or hair color or something equally old hat. Usually it's the packaging that's new and we're hard-pressed to find what's improved. But sometimes things really are new and improved, and I hope you'll agree that the forthcoming second edition of The Boss's Survival Guide is one of those times.

Yes, I know — it's about time!
